  • Laminating

    Heat-sealed plastic coating on a printing substrate from which a smooth and impervious surface emerges.

  • Launch

    The market launch of a product or service. The way this is carried out has a decisive impact on the further development of the product or service.

  • Layout

    The layout provides the designer and requesting party with an impression of how a communication medium will appear when it is executed.

  • Leading

    Distance between two lines measured from the descender of the upper line to the ascender of the following line.

  • Letter Heading

    The upper third of a letterhead.

  • Letterhead

    Cut-size sheet of paper preprinted on one side for private or business correspondence. Normally in DIN format.

  • Line Spacing

    The vertical distance between a line or baseline and the next written baseline in a text. The line distance can be indicated in points, millimeters, picas or inches.

  • Lower Third

    Lower thirds are information displayed at the bottom edge of the screen. Their purpose is to describe (name or position of) individuals shown in interviews or reports.
