All the Daimler Truck Financial Services events are designed using an efficient system of flexible and modular elements. The basic set-up usually consists of a stage backdrop and lectern. Depending on the content requirements of the event, additional elements can be added, such as stage backdrops as additional communication surfaces, projections, signpost pylons, information boards, and exhibits. The generous use of white background areas and lively, expressive images is characteristic of the visual appearance of Daimler Truck Financial Services and its subsidiaries at events. The corporate logotype is generally not used in a three-dimensional format. For major events with an eye-catching effect, stage backdrops can be developed in a specific format size. The Basic Elements of Corporate Design (e.g. corporate typeface, colors, pictograms, etc.) must be observed in this context.
Stage Design
The backdrop of the stage contains an all-white header area and a content area underneath, which can be fully covered in white, Light Grey or with a large-format photo motif. The Daimler Truck Financial Services logotype is centered in the upper white layout area. Texts on the content area below are left-aligned, considering the design grid, and are colored in black or white, depending on the background. Event-related key visuals are never placed in the header area but always in the layout area in the lower content area. Alternatively, an event key visual can be placed on a separate communication panel, displayed via a projection, or shown on a screen.
Lecterns
Only the Daimler Truck Financial Services logotype is displayed on the all-white lectern. The lectern must be positioned such that the main content elements of the stage’s back wall are not covered.
Communication and Information Boards
Communication and information boards set accents at the event location and are combined with other elements, such as the backdrop of the stage, as an additional design surface. As a rule of thumb, communication and information boards do not bear the Daimler Truck Financial Services logotype. They can be designed in a portrait or landscape format and square but should not exceed the height of the stage’s backdrop. A full-surface composition, for example, with key messages on pictures or longer text on a colored background, is possible.
Pylons
Pylons are used at events inside and outside buildings as carriers of guidance and information systems and, in addition to the white header area with the Daimler Truck Financial Services logotype, they can contain format-filling areas in the colors white or Light Grey. In general, only one font size of the Daimler CS corporate typeface should be used for pylons of any format size. A larger space separates bilingual text, and there is no additional differentiation based on font style or color. If pictograms or directional arrows are used, they should be left-aligned in the front of the text.
Major Events
The main criterion for placing the Daimler Truck Financial Services corporate logotype at major events is good visibility for an optimal long-distance effect, even from a distance. Depending on the spatial conditions and architectural design of the event, the specified white header area on the back wall of the stage can be dispensed as a special rule and the Daimler Truck Financial Services logotype in black or white can be positioned free-standing in the layout area with sufficient contrast to the background.
