Exterior Signage (Service Points)

The correct use of the exterior signage for OMNIplus Service Points (Daimler Buses own retail and partner companies) is bindingly determined. The own retail Service Points which have specific areas devoted to the Mercedes-Benz or Setra brand on their company premises (vehicle delivery, showrooms, sales offices, etc.) must adapt their external signage to the overall appearance of the Service Point. With the agreement of Daimler Buses Corporate Marketing, neutral elements may be used in certain cases (e.g. neutral gateway sign instead of the OMNIplus gateway sign).

Sign elements are divided into location signage and on-site signage. Location signage includes pylons, wall-mounted modules, panels and flags. On-site signage comprises the gateway sign, the entrance sign and the information and pictogram signs. The quality, specially positioning and size of the selected elements, must be ensured by an aesthetic overall picture. Information about size and use can be found below in the detailed description of each design element.

The positioning of individual elements must be agreed with Daimler Buses Corporate Marketing. Information about ordering the elements can be found in this manual. Please consider the defined suppliers for the particular region. The costs must be requested in individual cases from the supplier.

OMNIplus Pylon

The OMNIplus pylon is a primary element of retail brand labeling. The pylon exclusively bears the OMNIplus lettering. The position of the pylon on the company premises should be as prominent and visible as possible.

The size selected for a pylon should be in an appropriate proportion to the size of the company building and premise. As a rule of thumb, the pylon should not be higher than the building.

OMNIplus Gateway Sign

The illuminated OMNIplus gateway sign provides information at the entrance to the premises about the services available on site. The gateway sign bears the following information: the OMNIplus brand mark on the vertical stripe, the service category and the services on the individual sign modules. All information is set vertically centered in the Daimler CS Demi font. When using slashes, make sure that there is always a space before and after the slash. The services can be displayed with or without a direction arrow.

OMNIplus Gateway Sign for Daimler Buses Service Center with BusWorld or BusPort Standard
On the OMNIplus gateway sign for Daimler Buses Service Center with classification status “BusWorld” or “BusPort”, the following labeling of the individual sign modules 1 to 3 is required: In the upper sign module, the labeling “Daimler Buses Service Center” is indicated followed by the city name. The second sign module contains the reference “Mercedes-Benz & Setra Buses and Coaches” and within the third sign module the classification status “BusWorld” or “BusPort” as well as the information “Service” and “Parts” are listed below each other and should always be aligned to the left.

On the OMNIplus gateway sign for Service Points with the classification status “BusWorld” or “BusPort” the following labeling of the individual sign modules 1 to 3 is required for partners without a Daimler Truck contract: In the top sign module, the classification status “BusWorld” or “BusPort” is shown followed by the corresponding name. The second sign module contains the reference “Mercedes-Benz & Setra Buses and Coaches” for the “BusWorld” standard or “Mercedes-Benz & Setra Buses and Coaches” or “Mercedes-Benz Buses and Coaches” or “Setra Buses and Coaches” for the “BusPort” standard. In the third sign module, the information “Service”, “Parts” and a further optional service are listed just below each other and should always be aligned to the left.

OMNIplus Panel

The illuminated OMNIplus wall-mounted panel is a primary brand labeling element. This panel should be combined at a suitable distance with another brand labeling. The following order applies: Mercedes-Benz wall-mounted module, Setra wall-mounted module, OMNIplus panel (from left to right).

Wall-Mounted Modules

The wall to which the wall-mounted modules are to be fixed should be as prominent and visible as possible, e.g. on the main road, on high wall surfaces of halls, on showrooms or office buildings.

Setra wall-mounted module

The illuminated wall-mounted modules should be positioned next to each other on a wall. The size of the module should be selected so that it is in proportion to the size of the selected wall surface.

Flags

The weatherproof Mercedes-Benz, Setra and OMNIplus flags should be hung next to each other at one or two points of strategic significance at business facilities.

The following order applies: Mercedes-Benz, Setra, OMNIplus (from left to right). Special care should be taken in this case to ensure that the flags have the same length.

Optional Exterior Signage Modules

OMNIplus Entrance Sign (Optional)
The entrance sign informs customers and visitors about the offered services directly in the entrance to the respective area.

The entrance sign bears the following information in a specified design:

• the OMNIplus brand mark on a narrow stripe
• the name of the Service Point with address and phone number
• information about the opening times of the Service Point
• information about specific services (e.g. sales, service and parts/accessories with details about the division)

The entrance sign is available in just one width. As with the information signs, it has a modular design and can be erected at the respective defined heights so that it is either free-standing (option 1) or wall-mounted (option 2). It consists of a maximum of three information modules.

Single letters can be ordered in seven fixed sizes.

Information Sign (Optional)
The information signs on the premises help customers find their way around easily. Different versions of information signs are provided: as target signage (without arrow) or as a direction sign (with arrow).

Information sign (free-standing)

The information sign is available with or without illumination equipment and can be used as a free-standing (option 1) or wall-mounted (option 2) variant.

OMNIplus Signpost (Optional)
The OMNIplus signpost is intended as an optional orientation aid/guide at locations from which the company cannot (yet) be seen, e.g. at road junctions. It corresponds in shape and size to the smallest wall-mounted module and bears the OMNIplus brand mark. For the addition of the route guidance, a field for the operator’s name and direction is provided in the lower area.

Alternatively, a sign can be chosen from the road traffic regulations of the respective country. The modules can be wall-mounted, push-out-mounted or post-mounted and free-standing.

18/1 Billboard (Optional)
The billboards display uniform motifs selected by Daimler Buses Corporate Marketing presenting various OMNIplus themes, that are launched at stipulated periods of time.

Pictogram Sign (Optional)
The pictogram signs are designed to provide employees and customers with information on the premises of a subsidiary or a plant.

The information is displayed in different ways according to its message:

• as traffic symbol, e.g. for parking, parking for specific groups of people (with additional symbol or term), speed restrictions, etc.
• as textual information, e.g. a farewell message such as “Have a good journey” at the exit or information on service procedures at car parks, etc.
• letters or numbers to indicate service parking rows, etc.

All pictogram signs are available in a single width. As with the information signs, they have a modular design and can be erected at the respective pre-defined heights so that they are either free-standing (option 1) or wall-mounted (option 2).

Advertising Panel (Optional)
The advertising panels must be placed underneath each other or next to each other to ensure better and faster recognition. Only one brand mark or lettering object may be placed on each element. The information about the specific areas (e.g. service, sales, etc.) must be displayed on a separate signage element.

The brands can also be displayed separately, for example if the site has only a service station without own sales branch or if there is only a sales branch. In this case the OMNIplus brand mark is indicated with claim.
