Presentations
Each presentation not only shows information, it also presents the brand appearance. For this reason, all presentation documents must be designed according to the Corporate Design rules. It is only in this way that a uniform overall appearance of OMNIplus is guaranteed; this also results in cost savings. Don’t let yourself be misled, by software programs’ options, with would-be creative style exercises an ornamentation. Presentations are seldom improved on by doing so on the contrary: razzle-dazzle in the foreground distracts people from the content and blurs our visual profile. The objective of each presentation is to communicate messages in a short, concise and clear manner. For this reason, the following rule of thumb applies simple is simply better.
Beamer and slide presentations are didactic aids, which support a lecture but do not replace it. The lecture situation (where and how), the objective and the target group must be taken into consideration when selecting the presentation medium. Templates are available for MS PowerPoint presentations in which all important basic settings such as font, font size, line spacing, colors, etc. are already preset. If the Daimler CS brand font cannot be used for technical reasons, the Calibri replacement font is used.
Predefined values of the OMNIplus color system are available when designing tables, charts or infographics. For ecological and cost reasons, MS PowerPoint presentations should be printed in grayscale or in black and white with slide frames. This also applies to printouts and handouts for distribution at events and the like.
Brand Mark and Other Design Elements
In general, the presentation templates available on all computer devices at the company are to be used. If typical brand content is presented, the corresponding brand-related presentation templates can be used. The sender of the message must always be clearly recognizable. Brand mark, typeface and font size must therefore always correspond to the standard specified in the templates. Color design and positioning of the individual elements on the templates are preset and may not be changed.
The colors of the brand mark with claim are already specified in the pre-made templates; changes are not permitted. In all presentations, the brand mark is shown only on the title slides. The brand mark may not be modified, reproduced or distorted.
Title Slide
Two variants of slides are available for the title chart: text only or text combined with one or more images (photo, illustration, etc.). It should be observed, however, that only images may be used which represent the OMNIplus brand in an appropriate and CI-compliant manner and which are not already taken by any other brands.

Text Slides
Texts should be clearly structured and comply with uniform typographical rules. The text must therefore be designed so that it is as simple, as legible and as clearly arranged as possible. Please only use mixed-case letters. If the font Daimler CS is not available for technical reasons, Calibri has the highest priority in terms of a replacement font.
The position of the dividing line and footer may not be modified. The text is always left-justified.
A content achieves its greatest effect if the core statement stands alone. For this reason, do not use the entire format to place text and also allow some space around it. Always allow enough free space. The readability is affected if there is too much information on a slide. Summaries or brief text can be highlighted using Pure Blue. Underlining and the use of different font sizes or font types are not permitted. The use of other colors is also not permitted.
Footer with Sender Information
Except for the title slides, the footer is always mandatory. It contains the brand name, relevant presentation details and slide numbers. They are set from Daimler CS Regular 10 pt in black and the individual pieces of information separated from one another by a vertical slash. The footer is separated from the slide content with a fine black line.
The footer must include the following information:
- on the left: brand name OMNIplus or OMNIplus ON written in mixed-case letters
- on the right: presentation title, department, date and slide number
Footer including brand name OMNIplus or OMNIplus ON and presentation details
Image Slides
It is possible to use individual photo motifs over their entire surface or to use several images over their entire surface. Full-surface image slides end at the bottom with a footer on a white background. Several images on one slide should have a uniform width and/or height, and should be positioned so that they adjoin (“edge-to-edge”). Text can be placed next to or below the images.

Tables and Charts
When designing tables, charts and infographics, the brand colors OMNIplus Deep Blue, Pure Blue, Light Grey including its gradations are mainly used. The accentuating color Turquoise is a secondary color and is used only very sparingly. The design of line and pie charts is based on the graphic rules defined in the base elements. Graphics never extend to the edge of the format, but are located within the design area. The 3D effects or shades provided by MS PowerPoint or other presentation programs may not be used.
Line Chart
No more than three to four lines per chart. Different colors and varying line thickness increase their informative impact. Avoid too many lines. Units should not be displayed too small.
Pie Chart
Only visualize one core statement per graph. A maximum of six segments per chart. Combine smaller segments to a section. Sharp contrasts highlight segments. Labeling must be clearly distinguishable from the background. No 3D presentations and shading. Use color contrasts effectively.
The design of bar charts, column charts and tables are based on the graphic rules defined in the basic elements. Graphics never extend to the edge of the format but are located within the design area. The 3D effects or shades provided by MS PowerPoint or other presentation programs are not permitted.
Bar Chart
Use one color per topic. Information on the columns is indicated in a legend. Avoid low color contrast, distances between columns, or three-dimensional column forms. Information on the columns should not be provided diagonally.
Tables
Right aligned, rounded numbers facilitate readability. Columns of complex tables should be accentuated or differentiated with Light Grey backgrounds to simplify reading. Confusing rows of numbers and too many highlights should be avoided.
For MS PowerPoint presentations, templates in 16:9 format are available as .POTX files for download. Only these pre-made presentation templates are to be used. They can be found in the “Downloads” section on the “Daimler Brand & Design Navigator” and may not be changed or modified.
