Daimler Buses corporate events are designed using an efficient system of flexible and modular elements. Depending on the content requirements for the event, elements such as Stage setbacks, projections, pylons for guidance, information boards, exhibits, etc. are used.
The generous use of white backgrounds and vibrant, meaningful images are characteristic of the visual corporate appearance of Daimler Buses and subsidiaries at events. The Daimler Buses logotype is not used three-dimensionally. Stage backdrops in a special format can be developed for large-scale events with an eye-catching effect. All Basic Elements of the Corporate Design (e.g. corporate typeface, color palette, pictograms, etc.) must be observed in this context.
The Corporate Design of Daimler Buses basically forms the framework for the visual appearances of the product and service brands, which are the focus of communication at events and trade fairs. Individual design guidelines are applied within the different brand identities.
Stage design
The stage backdrop contains a full-surface white head area and a content area underneath, which can be covered with white, Light Grey or a large-format photo motif. The Daimler Buses corporate logotype is centered in the upper white layout area. Texts on the content area below are left-aligned, taking into account the design grid, and are colored in black or white depending on the background. Event key visuals are never placed in the header area, but always in the layout area in the lower content area. Alternatively, an event sign can also be placed on a separate communication board or shown via a projection or on a screen.
Lecterns
Only the Daimler Buses logotype is shown on the white lectern. The speaker desk must be positioned spatially in such a way that the main elements of the content of the stage backdrop are not covered.
Communication and information boards
Communication and information boards set accents in the room and are used as an additional design area with other elements – e.g. the stage backdrop – combined. Communication and information boards generally do not include the Daimler Buses corporate logotype. They can be portrait, landscape or square, but should not exceed the height of the back wall of the stage. A full-surface composition e.g. with key messages on images or longer texts on a colored background is possible.
Pylons
Pylons are used at events inside and outside buildings as carriers of signpost and information systems and can contain format-filling surfaces in white or Light Grey in addition to the white head area with the Daimler Buses logotype. As a rule of thumb, only one font size of the Daimler CS corporate typeface should be used on pylons of any format. Bilingual texts are separated from each other by a larger distance; there is no additional distinction based on font style or color scheme. If pictograms or direction arrows are used, they are left-aligned in front of the text.
Major events (press conferences, trade fairs)
The main criterion for placing the Daimler Buses corporate logotype at major events is good visibility for optimum long-distance impact. Depending on the spatial framework conditions and architectural concept of the event, the specified white head area on the back wall of the stage can be omitted as a special rule and the Daimler Buses logotype in black or white can be arranged as an exception free-standing in the layout area with sufficient contrast to the background.
