Presentations

Suitable templates for MS PowerPoint are available for presentations by Daimler Buses and name-bearing subsidiaries, which already have all the important basic settings and contain easy-to-use layout variants for different slide types.

General notes

Modifications to the predefined templates that change the appearance of the presentation more than insignificantly (e.g. use of dark slide backgrounds, other fonts or color shades) are not permitted. This also applies to the use of completely different templates for the purpose of external communication with the sender of Daimler Buses GmbH.

The official templates of the respective brand must be used for presentations that exclusively relate to the theme of a Daimler Buses product or service brand and their regulations must be strictly observed. If topics from several product brand worlds play a role at Daimler Buses, they can either be combined into a neutral overall presentation based on the Corporate Design of Daimler Buses, or an individual presentation must be created for each affected brand. The mixing of visual identities of several Daimler Buses brands within a presentation should be avoided.

Slide design

The design of presentation slides follows the layout variants in the slide master, which is pre-set in the editable templates for MS PowerPoint. The rules for handling the Basic Elements must always be considered. These include the position of the Daimler Buses logotype on title slides, pre-defined font sizes and thicknesses, a reduced color scheme with a high proportion of white, the authentic and modern imagery as well as the informative and intuitively understandable graphic style for tables and diagrams. The 3D effects or shadows provided in common presentation software should not be used. Animations should always be integrated sparingly for showing or hiding individual elements. In addition, it must be ensured that the content of the presentation created with MS PowerPoint is displayed completely and fully functional even after it has been saved in the cross-system Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file format.

Use of content

Image material, graphic elements, pictograms, and other digital content may only be used if information about their origin and current usage authorization (license) for Daimler Buses GmbH is unambiguously available. The use of AI generated images and similar content is currently still not recommended, as the legal framework conditions in the global context are largely unclear.

Photos and infographics from the Newsroom (ex Global Media Site) https://www.daimlertruck.com/newsroom, which are published with a copyright notice of Daimler Truck AG, are available throughout the group and thus for Daimler Buses GmbH and its name-bearing subsidiaries for general use both for internal and external presentations as well as for other publications. Additional imagery including licensed stock photos can be found in various internal image databases (e.g. Daimler Buses M@RS) with corresponding terms of use and can be accessed on the Social Intranet (if required).

Embedding fonts

The Daimler Buses corporate typeface Daimler CS should not be embedded in editable presentation files for MS PowerPoint due to license-related usage restrictions. If such presentations are to be held or shown on computers outside the group, they must first be exported to the Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file format and then checked sufficiently for completeness of content and technical functionality.
